Its waterless formula removes makeup and dirt like magic.
You’d never guess my 60-something mom is, in fact, in her 60s. Whenever people see us out together, some mistake us for sisters (maybe it’s flattery, in part, but TBH, I personally think it could be true). When you’ve had a good skincare routine for your entire life — hers is simple, relying on just a few German essentials she swears by — a 30-year-age difference doesn't have to look like a, well, 30-year-old difference.
Recently, however, her skin has been feeling dry and cracked, which is common post-Minnesota winter. Mine has been in need of some major TLC, too, as New York City’s cold can be just a rough (literally). And, because a good skincare routine starts with a good cleanser (as many can leave you skin tight and dry, which shouldn’t happen), I decided to put a under-the-radar, waterless, and plastic-free option to the test — and of course, my mom had to join because she is the toughest critic.
Enter: Seadrops Hydrating Foam Cleanser that’s going to drastically change the way you wash your face — and you’ll probably question why you haven’t done it sooner. The brand’s face wash isn’t a regular one; it's a cool one, in that it’s eco- and travel-friendly, and is basically like a science experiment in your own bathroom. But, unlike past science experiments you’ve done that might have gone wrong, nothing can go awry with Seadrop. And that’s one thing my mom loved about it.
Seadrop Hydrating Foam Cleanser Welcome Kit
Seadrop’s face cleanser comes in bead form — with 60 included, enough for two months — that turns into the most luxurious foam once mixed with water. Using it is simple; just break the beads between your fingers, which will then turn into a fine powder in your hands, mix with a little bit of warm water, rub together to create a foam, and lather all over your face. The entire process is fun and satisfying, obviously, but the way my skin looks post cleanse is equally so.
Seadrop’s waterless beads are made with a mix of plant-based ingredients like hydrating oat oil, reviving papaya enzyme and kaolin clay, in addition to blue butterfly pea flower and citrus peel extracts to protect the skin barrier, per the brand. Together, you get a cleanser that gets rid of dirt, oil, and makeup in mere seconds (I tested it on a full face of foundation, mascara, liquid liner, and lipstick!), but it does more than clean the surface. It also works to strengthen your skin barrier, thanks to the aforementioned ingredients, giving you long-term hydration, and glowier, more dewy-looking skin.
Most face washes make my oily skin feel too dry and tight post-use, which shouldn’t actually happen. With Seadrop’s, it feels clean and moisturized, not to mention, it looks so bouncy. But, don’t just take my word for it: My picky mom agrees the cleanser made her post-winter skin look and feel so good. “I feel like I look years younger,” she once exclaimed, to which I said, “Mom, you always look so young.”
So many shoppers agree that Seadrop’s cleanser is “one of the best,” with many echoing my and my mom’s sentiments, noting their skin is bouncy, glowy, soft, smooth, and more hydrated. Sounds like a winner to me.
