At 64, Jamie Lee Curtis Stuns in Plunging Blazer and Lace, Shuts Down Red Carpet
  • Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, stunned in a plunging blazer and lace pants on the red carpet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards.

  • Fans were obsessed with the spicy look.

  • The actress isn’t shying away from bold looks in her 60s, and we are in full support.

While we’re still obsessing over Jamie Lee Curtis’ recent bathing suit and fishnets pairing, the actress stepped out in yet another jaw-dropping, spicy look—and this time on a red carpet. Curtis, 64, wore a plunging blazer and lace bell bottoms to the 2023 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards, and fans are loving it, to say the least.

The all-black ensemble was equal parts elegant and sexy, and the leopard print-esque lace offered some beige contrast and interest. To accessorize the Dolce and Gabbana suit, Curtis wore a draping silver necklace that accentuated her neckline and carried a sparkly boxy clutch.

“Honored to be at the @psfilmfest and present #cateblanchett with the Best Actress award for her work in @tarmovie and to cheer on @michelleyeoh_official and @stephaniehsuofficial and @everythingeverywheremovie,” she captioned a post on Instagram.

Naturally, her writing humbly mentioned little of the outfit, other than tagging the designer. But that seemed to be all fans could comment on. “??Damnnnnn,” one person commented. “SO HAWT ??,” another added. “You always look sharp and strong and sexy at the same time ??,” someone else wrote.

Something tells us that’s exactly what she was going for.

The actress’s aforementioned swimsuit shoot was featured in The New York Times in October, along with an interview that detailed her long-winded path to creative freedom as an actress. The shoot was kind of symbolic of said freedom after she spent years taking roles that exploited her body and sexuality in order to maintain upward mobility in Hollywood, according to the star.

“All I’m interested in is freedom as a performer, and I don’t get that opportunity very often. But the times I’ve been able to be free, I’m on fire,” she said at the time. She was able to step into that with recent parts as mother and grandmother Lauri Strode in Halloween Ends, and as tax auditor Deirdre Beaubeirdra in Everything Everywhere All at Once (for whom she intentionally did not conceal her stomach).

I said I would like to not be sucking my stomach in for the entire movie, because I’m a 64-year-old woman,” she said. “I’m now in this beautiful new wave of my work ... which is transformative.”

We can’t wait to see what daring look the star will don next. Until then, we’ll be figuring out ways to recreate this stunning ensemble—and mindset.
