The West Coast Triple Plank, founded in 2017 by friends Marie-France Roy and Alicia Gimore, ushers in its sixth year of raising funds to restore and protect the coastal ecosystems of British Columbia through a surf/skate/snow gathering in partnership with REDD Fish Restoration Society.

This year's fundraising goal is $100,000 and $80,000 has already been raised. That means there's $20k more to go through donations and raffle tickets this weekend! If you're not in the area to attend, you can donate to REDD Fish Restoration on their website and purchase West Coast Triple Plank raffle tickets.

This year, the seventh edition of the beloved annual event begins on Thursday, April 25th with an all-hands-on-deck dig day on the banked slalom course on Mt. Washington. BYOS (Bring Your Own Shovel) to help shape the course and get a preview of what to expect before race day on Friday (and maybe a couple of hits on the bottom feature). Pitching in with everyone is a hallmark of the weekend, so dig day is part of the fun. And Korua Shapes is holding a Euro Carve Limbo Contest.

April 26th, the friendly competition continues with the banked slalom (emphasis on friendly, not on competition). For everyone competing in the trifecta, this is the first opportunity to earn bragging rights and points. But save energy because...

April 27th, the good times head to the coast of Vancouver Island where the surf portion of the event goes down in Tofino. Saturday is a big day because after spending the morning surfing, everyone joins in on helping with local ecosystem restoration by mitigating invasive Scotch Broom Brush with REDD Fish Restoration. That evening, enjoys REDD Fish speakers, silent auction, and a movie night. Here is the full schedule for Saturday.

April 28th, it's skate day, awards, and a concert to celebrate it all. The skate jam takes place at Tuff City Skatepark in Tofino. That evening, Les Baliens and The Shivas will close out The 7th Annual West Coast Triple Plank.

If you aren't able to make it to Vancouver Island for the event, you can still support the mission of REDD Fish Restoration. Purchase a raffle Triple Plank raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes from event sponsors, like Patagonia and Yeti ($10 CAD for one ticket; $25 CAD for three)
