8 TV Shows to Give You a Car Fix over Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving, which combines a big meal, a long weekend, and (usually) cold weather, is the one holiday that almost begs you to binge-watch TV shows. And here at C/D, we didn't want to leave you without options when it came to getting your car content over the next few days. There are plenty of options out there, but we compiled a list of some of our favorites, all of which are available on subscription services. From classic cars to race cars to pickups, there's something here for everyone.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Netflix)
This documentary series produced by Netflix gives an in-depth look at the 2018 Formula 1 championship and its inner workings. The series shows you what it's like for the teams both on and off the track.
Fastest Car (Netflix)
Fastest Car is a reality show that pits tricked-out sleeper cars against supercars such as the 2016 Lamborghini Huracán in quarter-mile drag races. With two seasons featuring some of the most powerful cars on TV, there's plenty here to keep you entertained over the holidays.
Hyperdrive (Netflix)
Hyperdrive is very new to Netflix, coming out late this past summer. The series follows drivers as they go head to head on a custom track with an obstacle course that has a different look for each of the 10 episodes, and drivers are eliminated in the runup to the season finale. The cars are as eclectic as the racetrack, as the vehicles are privately owned street racers and the track resembles something from the Fast & Furious movies.
The Gymkhana Files (Amazon Prime)
The Gymkhana Files is an eight-episode series that takes you behind the scenes of the creation of Ken Block's YouTube series, showing you how his Gymkhana series is made and the lengths they go to get the shot they're looking for.
The Grand Tour (Amazon Prime)
As everyone knows by now, The Grand Tour is basically a revamp of Top Gear started after Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May parted ways with the BBC. On this Amazon series the famous trio discuss, debate, and drive cars over the course of each episode.
Fast N’ Loud (Hulu)
Garage owners in Dallas buy and restore vintage and classic cars with the goal of turning a profit on their flipped cars on this Hulu series. They take bring everything from a Model A to a 1965 Shelby Mustang GT into their shop.
Diesel Brothers (Hulu)
Diesel Brothers are the guys at Dieselsellerz, and they're in the business of taking trucks and giving them a new life, tricked out with whatever they can dream up. This is the place to go if you have a hankering for seeing some of the most absurd trucks on the planet being driven.
Car Masters: Rust to Riches (Netflix)
On Car Masters, the team at Gotham Garage, which has experience building cars for movie sets, takes dilapidated old cars and restores them into unique and functional head-turning vehicles.
