The 9 Best Things to Buy at Trader Joe's This January
Even with all the holiday products slowly selling out, don't think that means your neighborhood Trader Joe's won't have new products coming in for the new year. And while the list may not be as long as it was in December (they had dozens and dozens of limited-edition holiday products on the shelves), there are plenty of new goodies to make the start of your 2024 sweet, salty and completely delicious. Read on for our top 12 January finds at Trader Joe's.
1. Sweetened Dried Green Mango
This bag of dried mango is a bit more tart than their other bags of dried mango and shoppers have already fully signed off on this new snack. "Target used to sell the Philippines brand of dried green mangoes but I haven't seen them for a couple years. So excited that Trader Joe's has it now. Would love if they had them unsweetened too," says one Redditor. Find it with the dried fruit and nuts for $2.49.
2. Tofu Sheets

Beancurd skin, or yuba, is the skin that forms on top of soy milk when heated, and these thin sheets are delicious and versatile—and now available in the freezer section at TJ's. Fans are stoked to see them. "Fun to see TJs carry more East Asian foods, especially for folks who do not have easy access to Asian groceries/markets," says one Instagrammer. You can pick up a box for $2.99 and get to experimenting with rice rolls and veggie rolls or try adding them to soups and stews. They're a great way to easily get some plant-based protein into your diet.

There is already chatter online about this new Asian-inspired lunchtime find, found in the neverending TJ freezer case. "This was surprisingly good. The noodles are not soggy and the chicken has a good texture. But the stars of the bowl are definitely the peanuts that add a nice texture change and the sauce. The sauce has a well-blended flavor where no ingredient overpowers the other and the spice level is mild. Even someone who doesn't like spicy food would enjoy it." Grab it for $3.49 starting this month.
5. Apple Tatin Tartelettes
At $4.49 for two tartelettes, this is a seriously luxurious budget dessert. And fans agree. "They are SO good. They would have fooled me in a restaurant..." says one Redditor. Made with butter, caramelized sugar, apples and pastry, you really can't go wrong with this one. Serve warm with ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
6. Meatless Breakfast Sausage Patties

The famous meatless patties are back in stock! "I'm in shock and hyperventilating at the same time. I need time to let this settle in" says one excited Redditor. "They’re really good. Suspiciously sausage patty-like. I had to double-check the package" adds another. At $3.99 for six patties, grab 'em in the freezer case (along with all of the other great January freezer finds). Pro tip: Redditors recommend double-checking the label because these meatless patties look nearly identical to the popular Chicken Breakfast Sausage Patties.

7. Single Origin Chocolate Batons
A wonderful hostess gift (or a gift to yourself), these single-origin chocolate bars come in three different flavors, all wrapped up in a nice little gauzy bag. The cocoa for these comes from Vietnam, Venezuela and Peru. Because the cocoa for each bar isn't blended with cocoa from several regions, the flavor of each bar is intensified and each one is discernable from the others, giving you a chocolate lesson in addition to a treat. Find them while supplies last for $5.99.
8. Raisin Walnut Apple Bars

The bars are full of sweet raisins, crisp walnuts, and tender dried apples, along with a bit of date paste and honey, cinnamon and salt. Find them for $5.99 per pack.
9. Brazil Cachoeira da Grama Small Lot Coffee
This double-fermented small lot coffee has aromas of citrus leaves and ripe fruit, which Trader Joe's says "leads into balanced flavors of dried plum and orange zest, and eventually into a long, lazy finish." Supplies of this one are limited and it's not likely to stick around, so grab it while you can.
