'A Charlie Brown Christmas'
This is one of our all-time favorite feel-good Christmas movies, and there's no one we'd rather watch it with than mom. Dig out the old VHS copy, stream it on Amazon or watch it live on TV. A Charlie Brown Christmas aired on Freeform as part of their 25 Days of Christmas programming last year, and we're hoping to see it back again in the next few months. Since baking something together is also on this year's top list of things to do with your mom, make a batch of our adorable Charlie Brown-inspired Christmas sugar cookies to munch on during the movie.

'Eloise at Christmastime'
You probably won't find this movie on many other lists of classic Christmas films, but it's such a feel-good holiday flick. Watch as six-year-old Eloise navigates the busy holiday season in New York City and saves the day, just before Christmas. There's even a mother-daughter reunion scene that will totally tug your heartstrings.

'The Polar Express'
The Polar Express is another must-watch Christmas movie, and it's inspired by a book you probably read together years ago, so it’s perfect for a mother-daughter movie date. This is one that’s usually shown in local theaters around the holidays, so check your local listings to plan an outing, or rent the movie online if you don’t own a copy. You could even book a Polar Express train ride as part of mom's gift this year!

'National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation'
This one may not be totally appropriate for small children, but Christmas Vacation is one of our top picks for moms and their adult children. You'll both be in stitches laughing as Uncle Eddie empties his RV sewage into the street before Aunt Bethany recites the Pledge of Allegiance at the dinner table. You may even shed a tear as Clark and his boss both realize the importance of celebrating the holiday with family.

'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'

Hallmark Christmas Movies
Since Hallmark is releasing 40 new Christmas movies this year, you’ll have plenty of movie options for a Hallmark movie marathon with mom. Show her how to use the new Hallmark fantasy game app, then brew a big batch of Hallmark’s new Countdown to Christmas tea and snuggle up for a long movie marathon.
You may feel like you just can’t tear yourself away from Candace Cameron Bure’s latest holiday flick—it turns out there’s actually a reason you’re so obsessed with Hallmark movies!
