Aaron’s Mom Grills Charity in Sneak Peek of 'The Bachelorette' Hometown Dates
Charity Lawson’s suitor Aaron Bryant’s mother confronts her on The Bachelorette, as Parade.com’s exclusive sneak peek video clip of Monday night’s upcoming hometown episode 6 shows.
Aaron is in Charity’s final four for good reason. They shared a romantic Hollywood sign date early on and since then, he’s been her Season 20 rock!
The handsome software salesman and realtor, 30, ratted out controversial contestant Brayden Bowers, warning Charity he was immature.
After Brayden was eliminated during week 4, he unexpectedly returned to the show, and Aaron attacked him.
“Why are you here, man?” Aaron asked.
When Brayden got into his van to finally leave for good, Aaron shouted, “You are not a man, bro! Close the door! Get out of here!”
Now, Parade can reveal that Aaron’s loving mom Ethel quizzes Charity, 27, about her intentions as they visit his hometown.
Aaron is competing against Dotun Olubeko, Xavier Bonner and Joey Graziadei, who will also get hometown dates with Charity.
Mom Ethel gives Aaron a long, exuberant hug as the clip begins and then she tells the cameras, “Aaron has a wonderful heart. He’s warm and all I want for Aaron is to be happy and to be loved by someone that loves him as much as I do.”
Ethel sits down for a chat with Charity and asks her, “So, what do you find attractive about Aaron?”
The Bachelorette star replies, “I think he’s someone that is very gentle, someone who’s very passionate at the same time. And then, our first date was really special. We really truly saw and envisioned what our lives would look like at the end of all this.”
Aaron’s mom then asks Charity, “Have you been in love before?”
“Yes, Ma’am," she says. "I have.”
Ethel notes, “That’s not a bad thing because to love and to lose—that life experience is great to have.”
She then grabs the bull by the horns, asking Charity, “What if Aaron proposed to you today? What would be your answer? Would you be ready to say yes or not?”
Charity takes a deep breath and answers, “That is a great question. Um—.”
She pauses, purses her lips and looks down as the video ends.
Aaron dedicated an Instagram post in May 2023 to his parents Ethel and Edward, who have been together more than 30 years, writing in part, “I cannot express enough gratitude to my family and friends who support my journey and my purpose.”
