According to my Facebook groups, BondiBoost shampoo is the key to fuller hair

If you haven't been stalking your local Facebook groups for beauty recs, I strongly suggest you start. Why? Because you'll find an endless stream of real women (not bots) waxing wise on which products are worth it and which aren't. There are particularly helpful dialogues happening on issues like aging skin and thinning hair.

In one of them, a woman in her 60s polled the members of one of my shopping-aficionado groups for tips on shampoos that can make hair appear fuller, and when dozens of them responded with the same tip, my ears (well, eyes) perked up. The product in question? BondiBoost HG Shampoo, which just so happens to be on sale for only $17 at Amazon for Prime Day.

Speaking of ... there are steals galore, in all categories, to be had at the megaretailer's annual summer sale-athon. Have a gander at our Prime Day picks here.

All too often, middle age comes with a thinning mane. This stuff, packed with good-for-hair ingredients, can help lessen that look.

$17 at Amazon

Why is this a good deal? ??

First off, a 10-ounce bottle of the shampoo is currently 30% off at Amazon. Second, this is the lowest price we've found on the internet. Sephora and Bondi Boost's own website both have it at $18, while Ulta is selling it at full price ($24).

Why do I need this? ??

Made without sulfates and parabens, this vegan, cruelty-free shampoo is great for all hair types and textures. However, it's specifically designed for those with thinning and aging hair.

The formula features a cocktail of peppermint, rosemary, saw palmetto and horsetail oils to gently and naturally remove buildup and improve strength and elasticity for fuller-looking tresses. There's even aloe vera to help calm scalp conditions like dandruff and psoriasis (that's right; it's not just for soothing sunburns!). And oh yeah: The peppermint oil leaves a refreshing minty scent.

The brand suggests using the shampoo up to three times a week, pairing it with the Bondi Boost HG Conditioner (also on sale) for optimal results. Just massage it into wet hair, lather and rinse. For an extra boost, consider adding a scalp massager to your shampoo routine.

If it's good enough for the masses on Facebook and Amazon, the Bondi Boost HG Shampoo is good enough for us. (Amazon)

What reviewers say ??

Bestowing an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars, including hundreds of five-star reviews, Amazon shoppers are clearly on the same page as the shampoo's Facebook fans.

Pros ??

"The best shampoo for thinning hair," proclaimed this shopper. "I have been using this for a while now and I have definitely noticed my hair feeling fuller and thicker." But it's not just the results they love: "It smells great and feels luxurious when using, as if I am at the salon."

"It lathers up without putting a lot of product on your hair," shared a second fan. "Did not hurt my scalp, as I have thinning hair."

Said this septuagenarian: "I use the conditioner, too, but every 3-4 washes, I skip conditioning because my hair is in great condition, and I'm in my 70s."

"I have naturally thin hair and, I swear, as I get older it gets thinner. Now I realize it’s because I was not giving it the proper nourishment," explained one Bondi Boost enthusiast. "This shampoo ... has totally changed the game for me. Not only have I noticed actual growth in my hair, but it doesn’t break off as easily as it did, and it’s actually thicker now."

Finally, check out this testimonial: "Health issues and treatments caused issues with my hair for the last few years, and this shampoo is helping restore my hair!"

Cons ??

For this shopper, nice things sometimes come in substandard packages. "I really like this shampoo ... [but] I was highly disappointed when I opened the package and found half the contents of the shampoo bottle had leaked."

Oh, and if you have thick hair, just note that you may need some more elbow grease. "I do have to pump it a few times to make it spread across my scalp," explained this customer. "Perhaps for someone that has really thick hair it may be difficult."

Want to up the results ... and your savings? This set, featuring two 10-ounce bottles, brings the per-unit price down to just $14.
