The Actor Who Plays Littlefinger Has the WORST Theory About How ‘Game of Thrones’ Ends
Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen (who played Littlefinger) says he doesn’t think the show will end with anyone on the Iron Throne.
Gillen describes the possibility of one final winner as “boring” and thinks it’s unlikely to happen.
Game of Thrones is about to air its eighth and final season, which means nerds like me are spending their waking hours catching up on fan theories (this way for alarming info about the Night King’s eyes) and wondering who will rule the Iron Throne. But, um, according to Aidan Gillen, who played Littlefinger before being killed off, the answer to that question might be...no one?
In an interview with Express, Aidan made it clear that he doesn’t think anyone will end up on the Iron Throne, because that would make for a “boring” turn of events.
I don’t picture that being a thing that’s going to happen. It would be a bit boring. I don’t know, I think initially that was the thing-there was a quest for an ultimate winner who was going to rule from the Iron Throne. But it doesn’t feel that’s what it’s about anymore. It could be that, and maybe that’s the surprise ending and that’s who it is. I don’t know who it’s going to be. Somebody nice!
Um, excuse me, but SANSA! DID! NOT! GO! THROUGH! ALL! THIS! SHIT! FOR! NOTHING! Fortunately, Aidan confirmed he doesn’t know how the show ends for sure-so there’s hope that GoT doesn’t do us dirty and just wrap up without resolving this mess.
BTW, if you still don’t have an HBO login and you lie awake at night wondering how the heck you’re going to stay up on GoT without hearing spoilers from your coworkers, we got you. Come here, my child.
