The Actors Who Played Nicky and Alex on 'Fuller House' Are Super Successful
While Fuller House fans continue to hope for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to reprise their iconic role as Michelle Tanner in the fifth and final season of the Netflix series, there is another set of twins who didn’t think twice about returning to the spotlight, even if only for a moment.
Best known as Nicky and Alex Katsopolis on Full House, actors Dylan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit played the sons of Uncle Jesse (John Stamous) and Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin).
Dylan and Blake made their debut in season 6 of Full House when they were 2- years-old. Initially, a different set of twin baby boys were shown when Becky gave birth on Michelle’s fifth birthday.
Fast forward to 2016 when Fuller House first premiered and fans didn't recognize the brothers, who were 25-years-old at the time. Their characters were re-introduced as California boys who left college to venture into the food truck business, with a specialty in fish tacos. Although we saw Dylan and Blake for a brief moment on the show, the two are actually no longer actors.
What are Dylan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit up to now?
For the past five years, Dylan has spent his time being on the other side of the camera as a foley artist a.k.a. the person who creates sounds effects. Most notably, the now 29-year-old has won three Emmy Awards for his post-production work for Game of Thrones. His other credits include Death Note, Jack Ryan, and Castle Rock.
And on the sidelines, Blake has cheered his brother on, even attending award shows with him. Unlike his twin, Blake explored various careers, including being a firefighter for four years in Georgia. Although he loved the job and found it rewarding, it kept him away from his family and friends, so he moved home to California.
After moving back to the West coast, he decided to go a different route and “joined the family business” of audio engineering. Blake hopes to follow in his brother's footsteps with foley mixing, but in the meantime, live-streaming video games on Twitch is one of his biggest passions.
Although it's no guaranteed we'll see the two back on Fuller House, we're sure hoping they'll make one last memorable appearance.
