Adele Is 'Perky As Hell' After Her Divorce, Thank You Very Much
Adele is reportedly "perky as hell" after her divorce from Simon Konecki.
The couple shares 6-year-old son Angelo, who they've been co-parenting since the breakup.
Adele is also creating new music, which sources say "will happen later this year."
Adele has been living her best life this summer following her divorce from partner Simon Konecki, with whom she shares 6-year-old son Angelo. In fact, one U.K. industry source recently told People, "She’s perky as hell!"
And for plenty of good reasons. For starters, the "Hello" singer totally fangirled out while seeing the Spice Girls on their reunion tour.
Plus, she's hired a personal trainer and has been kicking ass in the gym.
Oh, and she took a fab vacation with Angelo to Utah. "Her son had some time off from school, so they have taken a few small trips," a source close to the singer told People. "They recently... took a boating tour on Lake Powell and hiked the slot canyons. Adele very much enjoys U.S. nature and wanted to show Angelo around historic sites."
She's also nailing this whole co-parenting thing with Konecki. "Adele loves Los Angeles and lives a great life with her son," the source added. "She likes to keep her life private for both her and her son and is able to do that in L.A. She co-parents with Simon, and they seem to get along and spend time together with Angelo as well."
Overall, Adele clearly seems to be doing better than she has in a long time. "She is so busy, but her life is better-rounded than it was before," another industry source said.
The pop star's also received a lot of support from her tight-knit circle. "She surrounds herself with loyal girlfriends who are as private as she is. She has the best personality and is very warm and generous," says the source close to her.
Oh, and BONUS for all of Adele's diehard stans: She's planning on putting out new music this year.
"She is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year," another source said. "She talks about last year as a very difficult year, and she’s said in the past that creating new music is almost like therapy. You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans."
In the meantime, you can watch Adele go wild while rapping to Nicki Minaj:
And, according to the industry source, Adele's next album is expected to be pretty epic. "She is very fulfilled being an artist," they said. "New music is still a big deal for her, and she feels alive and happy."
