Adele Talks Baby No. 2 Plans During Couple's Mid-Concert Gender Reveal
It sounds like Adele is not opposed to having another baby!
At one of her recent Las Vegas residency shows, the "Hello" songstress did a gender reveal for a couple in the audience, joking about a pregnancy in her own future in the process.
The couple, who the "Rolling in the Deep" singer learned were Shantelle and Chris from New York, apparently snuck a sign into the venue, asking Adele to help them find out the gender of their baby. After fulfilling the ask, she questioned, "If and when I get pregnant, will you do my gender reveal? At the shower, I'll have you back, and you can do it."
The concert-goer, of course, shook her head "yes," confirming she'd be game to return the favor.
"No one's really allowed signs in here, I'm just obsessed that you got one in," she said when the man and woman first approached the stage handing her the envelope with the secured information inside. "And I've never done this," she added.
"Oh my God, I think it's like, from a doctor," the music artist gasped, realizing how major the task she'd been given was for the anxious couple.
The mom-to-be gushed over how "honored" she was that Adele was willing to do this for them, before explaining they've been waiting six weeks from receiving the confirmation at the doctor to find out the gender until their concert date.
The wholesome clip then depicts the "Easy on Me" singer taking a seat on a nearby step to the stage platform and ripping the side of the envelope to find the contents inside. "Shantelle and Chris are having a baby... BOY!" she announced, to the visible elation of the dad-to-be, who raised his arms in the air as cheers from the crowd ensued.
After exchanging hugs with each of the soon-to-be parents, the 35-year-old gushed over the experience, exclaiming, "That was amazing! I'm so happy for you!" She then became overwhelmed with emotion, bursting into joyful tears before sending the couple off with well wishes for the future.
"Thank you, I was so honored to do that. That was so lovely. Good luck and congratulations! I've got an 11-year-old boy and wooo, you're in for a ride!" the "My Little Love" artist said, referencing her only child, Angelo Adkins, whom she shares with ex-husband, Simon Konecki.
Similar to this moment, both Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé also recently presented gender reveals on-stage for couples in the audience during their concerts.
We love a down-to-earth, feel-good moment!
