Airbnb Is Giving Users the Chance to Watch the Tokyo Olympics at an Olympian's Home
With the start of the Tokyo Olympics only days away, track and field fanatics, gymnastics enthusiasts and other fans of the Olympic games are likely hard at work planning those exciting watch parties. If you're hoping to taking your Olympics watch party to exciting new levels, Airbnb is providing users with the opportunity to do just that.
The online marketplace has announced that it will allow users to book a stay at Olympian/former NBA basketball player Scottie Pippen's Highland Park, Illinois home to watch the Olympic games. Pippen, along with Team USA, won gold medals at both the 1992 and 1996 Olympics.
“Being able to represent the United States as an Olympian twice was an incredible honor as an athlete,” said Pippen. “Playing alongside the best of the best with Team USA will always be a career highlight for me, and I’m excited to host basketball fans at my home to witness the next generation of athletes performing at the top of their sport.“
In addition to being able to kick back in Pippen's home to watch the games, guests will also receive a virtual greeting from the former NBA star upon check-in, have access to the home's indoor basketball court, have access to Olympic Games memorabilia and much more.
Pippen will host three, one-night stays for up to four people on August 2, August 4 and August 6 for only $92 a night (plus taxes and fees).
Olympics aficionados can request to book the stay at Pippen's home beginning on Thursday, July 22 at 1:00 PM EST at airbnb.com/scottiepippen.
