This New Airstream Will Make You Want to Start Planning the Most Epic Road Trip
Love to travel, but hate to leave the comforts of home behind? Want to wake up on the beach, without worrying about all the sand creeping into your tent? And maybe you’ve already thought about a motorhome, but want something smaller and more mobile?
If so, Airstream has you covered. The iconic camper brand has introduced the Bambi—a new, compact take on the silver-sleek travel trailers synonymous with Airstream. It’s designed to be lightweight and maximize space, squeezing sleeping space, a convertible dinette area, a full kitchen, and an on-board restroom into an even more compact frame. The smallest Bambi is 16 feet long, with a single axle, while the largest is 22 feet long.
Airstream lets you customize your floor plan based on size and price. All of the options sleep up to four people, with starting prices from $49,000 to $58,000. They all come with standard amenities, such as air conditioning, microwave, and refrigerator. There’s a two-burner cooktop in the kitchen, alongside a stainless steel sink, while the bedroom features an LED HDTV, a memory foam mattress, and blackout curtains for those nights when you really want to sleep in. The front windows offer a panoramic view, whether you’re bedded down for the night or enjoying the thrill of the open road.
The Bambi includes all of that while maintaining the curved silver exterior that made Airstream famous decades ago. It’s a throwback that still looks like it just came back from the future. And if one of these is in your future, the only question is: Where are you taking it first?
