Al Roker Calls Out 'Today' Co-Host for 'Yapping'

Al Roker left one of his colleagues stunned on the April 2 episode of the Today show after calling her out for "yapping" backstage, per Hello! magazine.

The meteorologist grew frustrated during the broadcast as Sheinelle Jones chatted off-camera before his segment, eventually strolling out on the soundstage to report the weather, only to be greeted by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, the latter of whom drew attention to his entrance by pointing out, "Look who just appeared."

Roker took the opportunity to call out Jones, explaining that he had just been backstage telling her to keep it down while cameras were rolling.

"Well, here's the deal," he told them. "Sheinelle Jones is back here yapping, and we could hear her the whole time just yapping."

To emphasize his complaint, he led one of the camera operators back to the scene of the crime, narrowing on Jones standing in shock with her mouth wide open.

"Go do your job!" she said playfully, leading Al to reply, "I was doing my job trying to keep you quiet!

He added, "Come on! Trying to do a show here."

The bickering was clearly all in good fun, as the meteorologist loves to have on set. He recently caused a bit of a ruckus when Dylan Dreyer attempted to recreate one of his classic moves, nearly breaking her leg in the process. The pair also had a blast when they got to show off their dancing skills during a live lesson with Kristen Sudeikis.
