Al Roker Hospitalized Again Following Thanksgiving Release
The 'Today' show weather anchor's condition is said to be 'improving.'
Al Roker was admitted back into the hospital on Friday, just one day after he was discharged on Thanksgiving day, new reports reveal.
After the 68-year-old TV personality revealed last week that he has been recovering from blood clots in his legs and lungs, he was later released from the hospital on Thanksgiving, only to be "rushed" back less than 24 hours later.
The Today show weather anchor was reportedly taken to the hospital via ambulance on Friday, where he was taken away from his Upper East Side home in a stretcher, witnesses told Page Six.
"His condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital, he improved," a source stated.
According to the witnesses, Roker's wife, Deborah Roberts, was "frantic" outside their home while trying to break into the pair's locked Tesla to retrieve her cell phone.
"His wife, Deborah, was understandably very upset," the source explained. "She had left her phone and other possessions inside their Tesla, which had malfunctioned and wouldn't unlock, so she was trying to smash in a window."
After Roberts' attempts were "unsuccessful," the ABC News journalist "then went to the hospital by taxi with her daughter, where Al has since been surrounded by his family."
The report comes in the wake of reports that Roker will not be present at Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting, which was announced earlier on Wednesday.

As a result of his hospitalization, Roker also had to miss the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade last week, marking his first time in 27 years not hosting the event.
Before his release from the hospital, Roker posted on Instagram to explain to his fans why he had been absent from his usual slot, which is when he revealed that he was being treated for blood clots.
"After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery," he wrote at the time. "Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon."
In the meantime, Roker's fans, friends, and his Today show family are all sending their best wishes for his recovery.
