Alcohol, pets and drones: Here's what you can and can't take to Dollywood

Dollywood is a place for the entire family, from toddlers to grandpas, which means there are some hard and fast rules all visitors must follow, including no alcoholic beverages.

Dollywood also has rules related to behavior, clothing, food, pets and prohibited items to maintain the family-friendly atmosphere and public safety, .

Here’s all you need to know about the rules everyone must follow at Dolly Parton’s theme park.

What items are banned at Dollywood?

When you walk through the Dollywood gates, you should bring along a bright attitude just like Dolly.

Here’s what you cannot bring in:

  • Weapons of any type, including but not limited to firearms, ammunition, tasers, pepper spray, mace and knives (with a blade longer than 3.5 inches) and any item designed to be utilized as a weapon

  • Explosives, including fireworks and water grenades

  • Personal or commercial drones and other unmanned vehicles or equipment

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Illegal drugs of any kind, including prescription drugs not properly prescribed by a health professional

  • Glass containers (except for baby food containers)

  • Skateboards, hover boards, balance boards, scooters, inline skates or shoes with built-in wheels, and other recreational devices with wheels

  • Costume masks (except for special events by Dollywood)

  • Pets or animals (except for approved service animals)

What is the dress code policy at Dollywood?

Dolly has always pushed boundaries and loves expressing herself through fashion, but even she has limits. Here are the clothing guidelines for all Dollywood visitors:

  • Visitors must wear shoes, sandals or flip flops.

  • Visitors must not wear garments or carry items that display objectionable material in a family environment, including obscene language or graphics.

  • Shirts, shorts, pants, dresses or skirts must be worn at all times.

  • Clothing that, by design and nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate in a family environment is not permitted.

  • Excessively torn clothing is not permitted.

  • Tattoos with objectionable graphics and/or messaging are not permitted.

  • Face paint that completely covers the face or alters a person’s identity is not permitted.

Can you bring food from home to Dollywood?

Food, drinks and coolers from home are not allowed into Dollywood. This is for the health and safety of other guests and Dollywood employees, according to the theme park’s website.

Dollywood offers a variety of food options for people with special nutritional needs, dietary restrictions and food allergies. Guests are allowed to bring one unopened bottle of water per person.

What is the code of conduct policy at Dollywood?

Dolly is a bright light in the world and wants all Dollywood guests to shine bright, too. Here are some of the conduct rules at Dollywood:

  • Respect other guests and Dollywood employees. Verbal abuse of other guests or employees will not be tolerated.

  • Refrain from fighting, horseplay, taunting or threatening remarks and gestures.

  • Do not create disruption with behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal.

  • Follow instructions from employees regarding operations and procedures.

Are pets allowed in Dollywood?

While no pets are allowed inside (only approved service animals), you can find accommodations for your furry friend at Doggywood located at the main gate. Doggywood only boards dogs and space is limited, so reservations are highly recommended.

Anyone who fails to comply with Dollywood’s rules and regulations ? and anyone breaks the law ? can be removed from the theme park, along with members of their party.
