Aldi Brought Back Its $30 Version of the Fan-Favorite Perfect Pot, and Shoppers are Losing It

Aldi

These days, it's not uncommon to find copycats of some of your favorite name-brand products. For every expensive piece you find, a lesser priced —sometimes lower quality—version always exists. And with the current state of the internet, finding product copycats has become a sort of right of passage amongst foodies and content creators alike.

Whether you’re saving money by shopping Dollar General’s extensive copycat home decor selection, or taking advantage of the slew of Aldi dupes that are very close to the real thing, finding something you love at a price you’re comfortable with is now easier than ever. And for those shoppers who love to shop at the latter, there's a new copycat to obsess over—and it’s a cookware item that will make anyone's life in the kitchen a whole lot easier.

Spotted originally by Aldi Made Me Do It, the 6.5-quart Crofton Awesome Pot is almost identical to the Our Place Perfect Pot and—like many of Aldi's newly famous copycat items—is only a fraction of the price. Featuring FusionTi non-stick coating, this pot is not only oven safe up to 450°F (and its lid up to 300°F), but with a $29.99 price point, it's also about one fifth of the price of its name brand counterpart. Those interested in upgrading their kitchenware with a new multipurpose pot can also choose from two matte colors: green and black.

“I have the first version of the Awesome Pan in matte black and it’s been a go to pan,” exclaimed one very satisfied Aldi shopper. “I love it so much and I’m totally getting the pot!” Another excited customer also mentioned how they purchased the Awesome Pot the last time it was offered, stating “I love it! Cooks great and cleans up easily.”

If you’re in the market for an affordable new piece for your cooking endeavors, it seems the only big difference between the Awesome Pot and the Perfect Pot is a small indentation in the lip and lid of the latter. This indentation makes it so you can rest a spoon or ladle in the pot and still close the lid on top. Not much of a deal breaker in our book, and for a fraction of the price, it's basically a non-issue.
