Aldi Just Brought Back an 'Amazing' Seasonal Treat, and Fans are Buying It in Bulk

Aldi

As an unofficial cookie connoisseur, I’ve had my fair share of delicious, sweet morsels of baked dough and I’m proud to say I haven’t met one I didn’t like. While no two cookies are created equal, and we certainly have our favorites (looking at you, Oreos), sometimes, a new flavor comes along to shake up everything we know about the ever-enduring treat.

Around the holidays, cookies take a variety of shapes (and sizes) and become even more drool-worthy. From sugar cookies to gingerbread, the variations on the decidedly simple sweet are seemingly endless. Dipped, filled, topped, and sprinkled — there’s definitely a cookie out there for everyone. And while most of us will agree that chocolate chip reigns supreme, there’s a limited-edition twist on the familiar favorite available in Aldi stores, and shoppers are buying it in bulk.

When the weather begins to cool, the German-based supermarket chain becomes a cozy weather lover’s wonderland, stocking up on a slew of seasonal treats and Aldi Finds perfect to warm up with by the fire. Tucked away in the retailer’s famed refrigerated section is a 12-pack of ready-to-bake Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Chunk Cookies, and TikToker @downtownshannonbrown says they’re worth a “somersault over to Aldi" for.

The decadent cookies are flecked with chunks of chocolate and salted caramel and take just 12 to 14 minutes to bake. After taking a trip through the oven, the final step to enjoying the sweet treats is to devour at least half of the delectable goodies before they even have a chance to hit the table.

News of the limited-edition cookie’s return was met with obvious fanfare, with most Redditors saying that they’re “amazing.” A few users even admitted to hoarding the dessert, with one saying, “I snagged a few packs for the freezer too!”

If you don’t happen to have an Aldi near you, someone even offered a dupe you can find at another retail chain. “Not sure if you have a Kroger in your area, but their Private Selection brand makes a similar one that is super tasty!!!”

For those of you who are interested in grabbing a pack (or three) of the seasonal dessert, you might want to act fast before they’re gone for the season. But whether you’re in the market for cookies or looking for incredible holiday decor, Aldi is quickly becoming a one-stop shop for everything on your list.
