WATCH: Here's The Entire Schedule of New Hallmark Christmas Movies

Rebecca Angel Baer

Grab your favorite mug, cozy Christmas sweater, call the girls, and get ready to mark up your calendar. Your DVR is about to start working overtime. The Hallmark Channel has released the entire schedule for Countdown to Christmas 2019. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the network’s special holiday movie bonanza and they did not disappoint. A whopping 40 new original movies will air across both Hallmark networks. The holiday-themed fun begins soon—October 25th to be exact! No shame in getting into the spirit early. Heck, some say it’s good for you!

As you would hope, you will see many of your favorite Hallmark stars this holiday season including Danica McKellar, Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron Bure and Jill Wagner, as well as several folks from the cast of When Calls the Heart like Erin Krakow and Jack Wagner. Jill Wagner shared exclusively with Southern Living, what being a part of this rich tradition means to her.

“Being part of Hallmark at Christmas time means the world to me. I can’t wait for everyone to see the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie I have premiering this holiday season. Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses was so much fun to make because I got to usher in a new actor to the Hallmark family, Matthew Davis who I think the fans will adore. Also, I got to shoot in Georgia which is so close to my home in Tennessee so that was a treat. It is such an honor that my movie kicks off the 10th Anniversary of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas, I truly hope this movie puts viewers in the holiday spirit.”

But that’s not all. For year ten, Hallmark has pulled out all the stops and in addition to the network regulars, they’ve also called on big names from stage, screen, and even our favorite music like Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth, 90s heartthrob Scott Wolf, and our queen, Dolly Parton.

If you can’t wait until October, tune into the primetime movie airing on Hallmark on September 7th to be treated to behind the scenes sneak peeks of the new holiday originals. “A Christmas movie is so much more than carols, tinsel, and lights. A Hallmark holiday movie is filled with Christmas, and joy, romance, emotion, sweetness, and tradition. What we built in holiday entertainment on television 10 years ago has grown into a cultural phenomenon beloved by tens of millions of people and it cannot be copied,” Executive Vice President, Programming & Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks Michelle Vicary said in a statement. Make sure you check your Hallmark Movie Checklist app often, so you don’t miss a thing. New movies begin on Hallmark channel on October 26th, but they good folks at Hallmark are giving us a brand new movie a day early, over on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
