Alert! Joanna Gaines is Releasing a Children’s Book

Big news from the Waco Wonder Woman, Joanna Gaines! The best-selling author and busy mom of five announced today that she has a new book coming out this Spring, and (spoiler alert!) it’s unlike anything she’s done before.

We Are the Gardeners ($20; amazon) was cowritten by Gaines and her children (Drake, 13, Ella, 12, Duke, 9, Emmie 8 and Crew, 6 months) and chronicles their adventures in starting a family garden— bunnies that eat everything included.

“The garden has always been a place that inspires me," Gaines said in a press release. "There’s something about digging deep into fresh soil or watching new life burst from what was not long ago just a tiny seed that reinforces what a gift life is."

"I think that’s part of why my kids have come to love spending time in the garden just as much as I do. It can be a great teacher, if we pause long enough to notice all there is to learn,” she continued. “Where every day can be a lesson in hard work, and sometimes even in failure, but where there’s also growth worth celebrating."
