Alexis Sablone Talks Designing Nike SB Federation Kits for 2024 Paris Olympics

Hard to believe that the 2024 Paris Olympics are truly right around the corner. There's a lot going on right now as skateboarders across the globe prepare themselves for the World Stage, but the same can be said for all the folks putting in work behind the scenes as well. Like the one and only, Alexis Sablone.

Nike SB recently hit up Alexis to dig a little deeper into her creative process designing their Federation Kits, to chat about the Chameleon Dunk Low and her signature CONS AS-1 Pro (both dropping in late August) and a whole lot more. On and off the board, Alexis stays busy, but 2024 has definitely been a pretty monumental year for her so far.

In the interview, Alexis mentions:

"Skaters have always expressed their individual style, at least partly, through the clothing they choose to put on. Unlike in regular 'sports', where a uniform is almost an expectation, in skateboarding, it’s an altogether foreign concept. I wanted to be sensitive to that by trying to create really diverse range of options, so skaters could still try to pick something that felt like them."

Honestly, it's a great read, full of super interesting insights that I personally wasn't expecting. Alexis rules. Simple as that. So, if anything, click over and simply hear what this ripper has to say. Designing kits for the Olympics is no small feat! From skating to design and truly a million impressive things in between, we can't help but wonder what she can't do!?
