Alicia Silverstone's Halloween costume is pretty brilliant
It’s not often that a celebrity Halloween costume truly impresses. Celebs have a wide variety of resources available to them, so you kind of expect their Halloween ensembles to be over the top, elaborate, or stylish beyond words. That’s why we were all suitably impressed with Alicia Silverstone’s costume this weekend. The actress was photographed together with Chrissy Teigen, who posted the pic on her social media: “How am I supposed to sleep?” wrote Teigen. “I think I’ve asked for 2 photos in my entire life. @AliciaSilv and beyonce.”

On the one hand, it’s merely a shout-out to her Cher character from Clueless, but on the other hand it’s Cher from Clueless, and it’s pretty brilliant.
One wonders why she hasn’t donned this costume before. Although it’s been 22 years since Silverstone first graced the screen as the iconic clueless teenager, she hasn’t left the public consciousness. Clueless is far from the only thing Silverstone has starred in, but it was an unforgettable performance, and her choice of using the outfit for Halloween just underlines how timeless that yellow plaid outfit is.
Aside from reliving her Clueless years, Silverstone, of course, remains a working actor in Hollywood, most recently appearing in a new installment of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. But Silverstone has probably earned even more notoriety for her vocal support of animal rights, vegan lifestyle, and supporting PETA. Her latest move for the animal rights organization was posing nude to protest wool last year.
We wonder if the Cher Horowitz outfit she wore for Halloween was PETA-friendly or not…
