Allison Holker and Stephen "tWitch" Boss are best known for busting their dynamite dance moves, which have been seen everywhere from So You Think You Can Dance to Dancing With the Stars to The Ellen Degeneres Show. When they're not grooving on national TV, the talented couple is busy handling all of the things that come with taking care of their three young children — including the nasty effects cold and flu season.

Boss and Holker said that with their three kids — Weslie, 11, Maddox, 3, and Zaia, 3 months — they're no strangers to sneezing and runny noses, so they were thrilled to partner up with Puffs to spread the love for their favorite moisture-filled tissues.

"Maddox, our 3-year-old son, is just learning how to blow his nose, so to have a tissue that doesn’t deter him from blowing his nose because it hurts or it gets sore or anything like that, it’s the little things like that that help us," Boss said.

Holker agreed, and said that the tissues have been their go-to for years.

"We constantly have it at our house in every one of our bathrooms, but we also travel with it and keep in our diaper bag," she said.

To make sure their family stays as healthy as possible, and reduce their chances of catching a cold or the flu in the first place, the dancing duo has a few health tricks. Of course they follow the old standbys of using hand sanitizer and getting plenty of Vitamin C, but Holker and Boss say they also love to drink wellness shots — essentially condensed cold pressed juices — made with cayenne pepper and ginger.

"And water, water, water, water, water!" Boss added.

"We actually for 2020 started a new challenge," Holker said. "We’re going to drink a gallon of water a day and I feel like that’s been a huge help. . . We bought these big giant jugs that have a countdown throughout the day, but it really is helping for sure."

The couple also tries to eat healthily to keep their bodies and immune systems feeling at their best.

"I think we do eat pretty well, although Postmates makes that very hard sometimes," Boss said with a laugh. "Eating some kind of fresh food daily, whether it be fruit, vegetables, something that actually comes from the earth."

Being dancers, Boss and Holker are also always keeping their bodies moving, which helps them stay in fighting shape.

"We’re very physically active," Holker said. "We dance on a very regular basis but then we also workout on the side too. We have different kinds of workouts too, because I think for me when it comes to exercise, you have to change it up because if you’re doing the same thing like repetitiously over and over again, it doesn’t actually do anything in the long run."

But despite their best efforts to stave off sickness, sometimes a family member or two catches a cold or flu bug. And when that happens, Holker and Boss have some surefire remedies to make themselves and their kids feel better.

"I do a cold towel on the forehead," Holker said. "I don’t know if it really does anything but I know it just soothes me. It’s something my mom used to do to me so I feel like it’s more of a mental trick. And then we dance. I don’t know if it helps, but we dance. If I’m sick, I’m still dancing."

Boss agreed, saying that dancing is a way to get their spirits back up when they're feeling sick, and added that he's also a fan of taking a steamy shower with eucalyptus essential oils to open up the airways.

But with three kids to run after, taking that time for themselves to indulge in self-care can be challenging, to say the least, but wanting to stay as mentally and physically fit as they can, the couple tries to schedule it in whenever they find the time.

"We were actually just having this conversation I think last week about allotting time," Boss said. "I think that’s a big part of self care is making sure that we look at what we have going on realistically and adjusting our goals to make sure that we can hit that, and not acting like we still have two kids as opposed to three."

When he does have time, Boss says he likes to meditate and make sure he's getting plenty of good sleep. Meanwhile Holker, a self-proclaimed girly-girl, loves taking time to relax and do a face mask or paint her nails with her daughter.

"It’s also super important for any woman, and man, any mom, and dad, to have time to themselves but to also have time as a couple is like also super, super crucial," Holker added. "So we make sure we go on dates together, and still have fun as a couple which is why we do those [Instagram] dance videos. It’s something fun that we get to share together and kind of keeps us fit, keeps us happy, and energized during the day."
