Alto Vineyard holds fundraiser for Parkland College arts scholarships
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – A live auction and live music filled Alto Vineyard Sunday — all for a deeper meaning.
Blues singer Candy Foster closed out the lineup of performers. The money raised from the event went towards his Parkland College scholarship program that benefits arts and entertainment students.
This is the eighth year Foster has had the scholarship fund. He hopes it inspired the next generation of artists and musicians.

“I see (and) read about people doing different things — young people out there making a difference — and I’ve been fortunate to know some of them and feel like I’ve helped some of them,” Foster said.
This year, Foster hopes to raise $1,500 for three separate scholarships. Chosen students will be picked next spring.
