Alyssa Milano slams critics after tweeting about her kids' toys: 'Great job showing your hatefulness, Trump trolls'
Alyssa Milano has taken up a new cause: reducing the amount of plastic and waste used in toy packaging and manufacturing.
But the actress and activist’s call to arms over the issue — which she posted on Twitter after celebrating her two children’s birthdays over the weekend — didn’t get the warmest reception. While several critics accused Milano of complaining too much, some took the opportunity to attack her over her recent admission that she had two abortions in 1993.
We celebrated Milo & Bella’s Bdays yesterday. 💕
They’re opening their sweet gifts.
I’m so struck by the amount of plastic/waste.
If we want to start chipping away at the damage we’ve done to the planet, we should start regulating the materials we use to make & package toys.— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) September 1, 2019
Many fans agreed with her cause, but the tweet also sparked some negativity.

Milano quickly responded to the “disgusting” comments by accusing critics — whom she slammed as “Trump trolls” — of “showing your hatefulness.”
The replies to this tweet from the trolls are disgusting. Great job showing your hatefulness, Trump Trolls! I will pray for you all tonight. To my God. The one that has empathy and compassion.

Her fans offered support and praised her for standing up for herself, though her reaction did prompt further backlash from some critics, one of whom shot back, “Too bad you didn’t have empathy and compassion for the babies you murdered.”
