Amal Clooney gives us Old Hollywood glam in Versace
As post-baby red carpet appearances go, this has to be one of the best. The Clooneys hit the Venice Film Festival red carpet Saturday night for the debut of Suburbicon, a new film directed by George.
Amal looked flawless in a lilac Versace gown made of silk chiffon. George opted for a classic Armani tux.
The gown had all the classic Versace elements celebs (and international human rights attorneys) love — beautiful draping paired with a structured bodice to highlight the waist.
As for Amal’s old Hollywood makeup? Charlotte Tilbury, the makeup artist who helped Amal get ready for her first public appearance since giving birth to twins Alexander and Ella, spilled her secrets on Instagram.
Tilbury, who did the human rights attorney’s makeup for her wedding day, used products from her Ultimate Hollywood Collection, including: Rock ‘N’ Kohl liquid eyeliner pencil in Barbarella Brown. ($27), Hollywood Beauty Light Wand instant megawatt Hollywood highlighter ($38), and Matte Revolution luminous modern-matte lipstick in “The Queen,” a rich and rosy crown-jewel pink color in homage to Her Majesty, Elizabeth II, and “Love Liberty,” a berry shade with subtle rosy-pink undertones ($34 each).

Celebrity hair stylist Rod Ortega created the wavy faux bob that completed the throwback look, giving Amal major 1940s Italian glamour.
We can’t help noticing that the Clooneys look so in love. After welcoming twins, their marriage seems stronger than ever.
