Amanda Bynes returns to Twitter, giving fans hope: 'The queen is back'
Amanda Bynes made yet another unexpected return to social media by posting her first photo on Twitter in nearly seven months Tuesday — a pic of herself cozying up with Hairspray producer Neil Meron.
After famously creating her account in 2014 to let fans know that she’s doing well and is busy studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), the 32-year-old has sporadically posted to Twitter with updates, well wishes, and a plea to get accounts pretending to be her deleted from the platform. But the latest message from the former child star (who announced her retirement in 2010) is a sweet surprise because she looks pleased to be catching up with a producer from one of her last projects.
“Me and the incomparable producer of Hairspray, as well as many other things,” Bynes wrote alongside the photo of the pair sitting at a table. To which Meron later retweeted and replied, “What a great #reunion Amanda Bynes. I was so happy to see you and share a meal.”
The mass response from Bynes’s fans just goes to show how much she’s been missed.
And her meeting with Meron is giving some people hope that Bynes may even be planning a return to the big screen.
However, if Bynes’s irregular past posting patterns are any indication, her quick reemergence may not be signaling a big return after all. See you in a few months, Amanda.
