"We love you Amanda!!!!! You have survived the unthinkable. You have so much support!!!! We want to see you win!!," a user told the former teen actress, while another person cheered, "In case nobody told you lately, you're doing great! And you're enough."

Amanda's rocky road began in April 2012, when she was arrested for DUI after hitting a police car, for which she pleaded not guilty. She was then involved in several other traffic accidents. Her DUI was eventually dismissed in a plea deal she reached in February 2014, where Amanda received three years of probation.

On July 22, 2013, Amanda started a fire in the driveway of a neighbor’s home in Thousand Oaks, causing her to be put on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold. Two weeks later, a judge extended Amanda’s involuntary psychiatric hold to 30 days and gave her parents temporary conservatorship over the former star.

Amanda enrolled as a student at Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in December 2013, three months after checking into a Malibu, California, rehab center. She quit going to classes but resumed her studies at FIDM in October 2015.

In December 2017, Amanda’s lawyer told Page Six that she was finishing her FIDM studies and considering a return to acting, telling the outlet, “In 2018, she looks forward to completing fashion school and dipping her toe back into acting. She has had several offers but is waiting for the right one to come along for a comeback.”

Amanda went on to graduate from FIDM in June 2019. Things continued to look up for the She's the Man star when Amanda filed to end her conservatorship in February 2022, which a judge terminated the following month.

“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter,” Amanda said in a statement after the ruling. “I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”

Even though Amanda scrubbed her Instagram page of photos in April, she told her followers in an April 9 Instagram Story that she was "back at school."

"Since I haven’t passed the board exam yet to get my manicurist license, I started back at school to study manicurist theory and to practice doing acrylics before I take the test again so I’ll be good to go when I get a job at a nail salon," she wrote.
