Amber Mark on Her Favorite Holiday Sweater, Fashion Inspirations and New Music on the Horizon (Exclusive)
The Grammy-nominated R&B singer performed at the launch of Aerie's new holiday shop — see what she shared with PEOPLE
Musician Amber Mark is getting cozy this holiday season!
The Grammy-nominated R&B singer visited Aerie’s Holiday Cozy and Comfy Lounge pop-up at the TWA Hotel in New York City, where the beloved brand launched its travel-themed holiday collection. Mark gave a surprise performance at the event, dressed in her cozy best alongside other notable tastemakers including Aly Raisman, Iris Apatow and Avani Gregg.
The singer is getting ready for gift-giving season, and said Aerie’s extensive collection makes the brand a great place to buy that special something for your loves ones. Mark loves the collection’s Cable Car Quarter Zip Sweater in deep forest green, which she wore to the event.
“I think everyone is always looking for something super cozy and soft and the feel is always super important,” Mark told PEOPLE.

Aerie holds a certain nostalgia for Mark, who said she would frequently visit New York City’s Broadway location as a teenager. She said the brand reminds her of the freedom she felt at the time, when she would explore the city with her friends.
The “Lose My Cool” singer has since taken on bigger adventures, such as touring her album Three Dimensions Deep in the US, Canada and Europe. Mark, whose love for performing can be traced back to a high school after-school program, took the stage at Coachella in 2022.

Although the singer sid her style muses are “always changing,” she points to barrier-breaking model Donyale Luna as a current inspiration, noting that she was moved by her HBO documentary. When it comes to musical influences, Mark looks no further than “the classics” — Stevie Wonder and Sade.
“I think Sade just exudes this effortless beauty and her voice and her appearance, her style. So I think she’s probably the number one person,” Mark said.
The singer is closing out the year with big plans. She said her fans can “definitely” expect new music next year.
“I have so many songs that I’ve just been queuing up and ready to go,” Mark added.
And as far as a holiday album is concerned, Mark said she’s already been brainstorming for years to come: “I would love to.”
