America’s Next Top Model just aired its latest mess of a makeover episode, and don't even pretend it's not your fave episode of any given "cycle," because that's not up for discussion. It just is, OK?! Except Tyra Banks (*praise hands*) is back on the show now, so technically it's "Ty-overs."

Now, because this is Top Model, there’s always going someone bawling about having their hair trimmed two inches shorter than they would’ve liked, which is the most annoying thing ever. (But also great TV!) You knew what you signed up for. We all knew. How could you not know?

That said, the show is also known for its nonsensical-bordering-on-cruel hair transformations, so some histrionics are acceptable - and this season Tyra certainly put a few contestants through the wringer. In particular, contestant Jeana Turner was told that her "Ty-over" would involve removing her wig and embracing her bald head. Turner has alopecia, an autoimmune disease, and went bald when she was 10-years-old. The wig has become a security blanket for Turner, she explained, and removing it was an emotional, challenging experience.

“Doing this is really scary, but I want to show people that it’s okay to be bald and that bald is beautiful,” she said on the show. “Losing your hair is beautiful.”

Judge and stylist Law Roach, ANTM reader-in-chief, seemed particularly moved by the moment also, and supported Turner through the big de-wigging. Between crying over their makeovers, Turner's fellow contestants offered hugs and cheers; she also inspired judge Drew Elliott, of PAPER magazine, to come to panel without the makeup he usually uses to cover his vitiligo.

Turner was one spot away from getting the week's "best photo" award (except the models actually filmed little makeover reveal videos instead of just taking static photos, because GIFs, people! Think of the GIFs!) Incidentally, the best photo was awarded to Liberty Netuschil, a Trump-supporting contestant whose makeover was a fire engine-red 'do from Tyra because "you voted red, so you're going red." Hahaha. Anyway, here's Turner working her new look for the video shoot:

Previews and teasers for the rest of the season show her competing in many other photoshoots and challenges also, so the bald beauty is clearly going to be a contender for the win if not, at least, the end-game. She is working this look, honey - as Tyra has coined it, this season, even, she's "NLF." (Next level fierce, no really.)
