The winner of season 18 will walk away with $1 million and the opportunity to headline the America’s Got Talent live show in Las Vegas.
What does the Golden Buzzer mean on America's Got Talent?
We all love those emotional Golden Buzzer moments when one of the judges or host Terry Crews is so moved by a performance that they press the Golden Buzzer, confetti streams down, and that act is sent directly to the live shows. Each of the judges and Terry only gets to use the Golden Buzzer one time per season and that takes place during the initial audition period.
We have gotten so used to the Golden Buzzer, we forget that it wasn't initially a part of AGT. In fact, it wasn't introduced until season 10. But it has proven how good a judge of talent our judges and host are. Six out of the eight AGT winners since its introduction—Paul Zerdin, Grace VanderWaal, Darci Lynne, Kodi Lee, Brandon Leake, and The Mayyas—were Golden Buzzers. The exceptions are Shin Lim and Dustin Tavella.

The Mayyas, a Lebanese all-female dance troupe comprised of 36 dancers walked away with the title and the $1 million prize. The group's name means "the proud walk of a lioness" in Arabic.
“From the moment I first saw the Mayyas, their act was spectacular and gave me goosebumps,” said Sofia, who chose the group as her Golden Buzzer. “Their coordinated choreography was the most beautiful, creative dancing I have ever seen. Each time they competed, they continued to outdo themselves. Their empowering performances have earned them the ultimate title and I’m so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they do next.”
"Genuinely, we’ve never seen anything like this before," Simon told Parade after the win. "The intimacy, the imagination, the creativity, the focus, their work ethic, everything is mind blowing.
