Amy Schumer's Before and After Photos Stir Up Plenty of Relatable Reactions
Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer has a striking warning for the youth of today.
The comedian took to Instagram recently with a series of before and after photos of herself over the years, issuing a PSA to her younger followers that life creeps up on you much faster than you think.
Within the carousel, she included two photos of herself in a black and purple dress that accentuated her cleavage, posing in front of the step and repeat banner on the red carpet of the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne—which was filmed in 2012, when Schumer was 30 or 31 years old.
In the final slide, she shared a more recent picture of herself sitting in a hospital gown, an IV pole obscuring part of her body. She leaned around it to stare grumpily at the camera, her hair a mess.
"Warning 20 somethings," she wrote alongside the blurry red carpet snaps. "I looked like this at your age. Swipe. Life is coming for you."

It's unclear what landed the 42-year-old in the latter situation—with some suggesting it was a photo taken prior to giving birth–but she clearly wasn't having it. Unfortunately, too many people could commiserate.
"Our bodies didn’t know how good they had it! Had I known- I would have been wearing a bikini top and cut offs every day. Even in winter," one admitted.
"I saw a picture of myself from 2005 the other day and I haven’t fully recovered ?? life comes at ya fast," said another.
"The sad thing is when I was young and thinner and all the bull shit. I still thought I wasn’t good. F-----g society," another recalled.
"They don’t think life is coming for THEM but that’s the big shocking twist around 40," someone else affirmed.
The haters made themselves known, too, with one snarking, "No it's called not being healthy," but folks were quick to shut them down.
"That’s what I tell my 17 year old daughter! She said with diet and exercise you can stay that fit. I told her 'just wait'!!!! ??," one emphasized.
"truth is we didn't appreciate our lovely selves when we had it goin on!!!!'" someone else chimed in.
Celebrities joined in on the fun with Emmanuel Acho stating, "You, my friend, are hilarious ????," as Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Wanda Sykes added laughing emojis.
