Andie MacDowell makes her catwalk return at age 60
L’Oréal is a brand committed to diversity, with its new, inclusive “We are all worth it” tagline capturing headlines last year.
So what greater ambassador than Andie MacDowell, who at 60 years old walked the catwalk at L’Oréal’s show during Paris Fashion Week, proving that women can be fabulous at any age.
Wearing a rainbow-sequined Elie Saab dress, MacDowell appeared to be having the time of her life.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star took to the catwalk alongside other celebs, including Eva Longoria, who gave birth to her first child, Santi, in June.
The diverse catwalk lineup also included Elle Fanning, Winnie Harlow, Iskra Lawrence, Doutzen Kroes, and Neelam Gill.
MacDowell’s certainly no stranger to the world of fashion. Prior to launching her acting career, she modeled for Vogue and starred in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent and Armani perfume.
“I haven’t walked a show in a long time,” she told Vogue of her runway return. “I’m in the process — and have been in the process — of aging. And with L’Oréal, I’ve really been able to [spread the message] that there’s no time limit on beauty.
“It’s a journey, but you can’t go back in time. I don’t want to pretend to be what I’m not and have never been ashamed of my age,” she added. “I want to be positive about right where I am at each stage of my life.”
