'Angel face': Celebrity esthetician says this is the secret to Victoria's Secret model skin
For Victoria’s Secret models, good looks come naturally. But for gorgeous, glowing skin, they all have a secret weapon.
Her name is Georgia Louise Vassanelli, or as she’s known in the biz, Georgia Louise. Georgia’s bespoke facials and her ability to sculpt jawlines and make skin glow in just one session — using techniques that include everything from high-tech micro-current to facial massages — make her a favorite among models and celebrities. The esthetician is hailed as a skin-care expert, and A-listers, including Jennifer Lawrence, Emilia Clarke, and Jennifer Aniston, have her on speed dial to transform their complexions before a big event.
This week, she prepped the Victoria’s Secret models for the 2018 runway show and named the VIP treatment after them. “The main focus is to de-stress and hydrate the skin to achieve that envious glow,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle of the facial she calls “Angel Face.” The treatment begins with a double cleanse to remove impurities, followed by a hydrating mask to restore moisture.

From there, she customizes each facial. “If an Angel’s skin needs extra lifting and tightening, I’ll use a micro-current device,” says Georgia. “If she’s in need of blemish control and inflammation reduction, I’ll have her under the LED light to help stimulate collagen while calming the skin.” Either way, each model gets a relaxing facial massage to sculpt cheekbones for their runway closeup.
The majority of us aren’t Victoria’s Secret models, but we can easily achieve glowy, model-worthy skin at home with these tips, straight from Georgia Louise herself.
Keep skin moisturized at all times — even when you’re washing your face.
Overcleansing your face can do more harm than good. “Oils sometimes get a bad reputation for causing breakouts, when in fact they can actually help prevent them,” she says. To avoid stripping skin of its natural sebum, opt for a cleansing balm, like the one from her namesake line, or a gentle cleanser like this one from La Roche Posay. She also suggests using a honey mask or a hyaluronic serum to pump up your complexion and boost its natural hydration levels.
Stock up on the right anti-aging products — and exfoliate.
Georgia stresses the importance of using a product with Vitamin A and an anti-aging serum to help rebuild collagen to “provide the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory factors that reverse signs of aging.”
Another factor that can affect how your serums work is how often you exfoliate. “Dead skin cells and debris can leave the face looking dull, and contribute to congestion,” warns Georgia. She suggests using a mild chemical exfoliant, which is not as harsh on your complexion as grainy physical scrubs.
Don’t underestimate the power of a face massage.
Facial massages in the morning will stimulate your lymphatic draining system, thereby, de-puffing and detoxifying skin. If starting your day with a radiant complexion is for you, Georgia recommends using her butterfly stone or a gua sha lifting tool when massaging to contour, lift, and sculpt.
Invest in a microcurrent device.
Many of Georgia’s treatments incorporate galvanic current to increase skin’s blood flow and help skin-care products penetrate deep into the skin. This past summer, she launched the GloPulse, an at-home galvanic device that looks like headphones. Just pop on a sheet mask to address your specific skin concern, and when the GloPulse is applied, “ a circuit board” [is created] which allows [the mask’s ingredients] to penetrate much deeper,” she says. After 20 minutes, you’ll have a soft-to-touch, glowy complexion. “It’s the easiest way to look like you just had an expensive facial at home.”
