Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Daughter Zahara Showered With Support Amid Significant College Decision

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt appears to be enjoying her time studying at Spelman University in Atlanta, Georgia, and her recent decision to join Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority—the first intercollegiate historically Black sorority—is getting a huge amount of support from people everywhere.
Essence shared a video of Zahara, who is in her second year of college, participating in the "crossing ceremony" to mark her entrance into the sorority, with the 18-year-old proudly introducing herself and dancing in front of enthusiastic members.
"Ivies Up! The first Black sorority just gained a very familiar face as a member! Congratulations to Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who just joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. at Spelman College!" read the caption. "We see you and can’t wait to see all you do in the name of sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind!"
Past members of AKA Sorority include Phylicia Rashad, Vice President Kamala Harris, Robin Roberts of Good Morning America and Toni Morrison, while others like Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou, Ella Fitzgerald and Ava DuVernay were inducted as honorary members.
The comments were filled with notes of support, encouragement, and excitement for Zahara.
Author Luvvie Ajayi Jones wrote, "Ok I feel like a proud auntie. ??????," while recording artist Emma Nyra said, "This makes me want to cry. This baby girl was raised insuch [sic] a way that she could connect as much as possible to her roots. That is soooo commendable ??????."
"I don’t even know her full story but going from being an orphan to having thousands of sisters globally is such a powerful and emotional testimony. Congratulations ??," commented business founder Tiffini Gatlin.
Some also complimented Jolie on her efforts to make sure her adopted children's culture and heritage remained a key part of their lives, as one wrote, "I swear Angelina Jolie is one of the only celebrity white parent of adopted children who made the extra effort to connect her children to their roots!! Congratulations to this baby!!!" Another echoed this sentiment, adding, "Seeing Zahara raised by a white family, but be immersed in Black culture like this warms my heart!! ??"
Someone else noted, "That Hair Flip is a tradition from her African culture!!!!! She has found a Most Beautiful way to joining ALL of who she is.????????."Zahara was adopted as a baby from Ethiopia.
Many more congratulated Zahara and welcomed her as a new member of the AKA Sorority at Spelman University.
