Angelina Jolie's complete style transformation
Angelina Jolie is no stranger to the spotlight.
The daughter of actor Jon Voight often joined her famous father at red carpet premieres and awards shows, but it wasn't until the late 1990s that we got to see Angelina in her own right.
Over the years, we saw more and more of the actress as she won at the SAG and Academy Awards -- and as she developed her craft, it's safe to say she developed her fashion sense as well.
What began as a closet filled with long black dresses, low rise leather pants and simple black shirts evolved into red-carpet ready glamour. Angelina continued to opt for dark blues and blacks, but she put down Billy Bob Thornton's blood vial necklace and tried her hand at more sophisticated evening gowns.
Her 2002 Golden Globe Awards look began a procession of more sophisticated styles. In the early 2000s, she touched briefly on greens and whites, again returning to black in a slinky leather Versace number for the premiere of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005.

Continuing to play with patterns and textures, her structured Versace avant-garde black gown with a thigh-high slit became one of her most iconic looks to date. Most recently, Angelina slayed at the 2018 Golden Globes in (another) black Versace masterpiece.
