Here's Your First Look at Jon and Sansa in New ‘Game of Thrones' Season 8 Footage

The old gods and the new must be looking out for us, because HBO just dropped a teaser for its absolutely stacked 2019 lineup. In it, we have a (very short) glimpse of new scenes from Game of Thrones's final season, with its six feature-film-length episodes expected to premiere sometime in the first half of 2019.

The new footage, of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) embracing Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), had some fans perplexed, thinking the scene was just from season seven (like the rest of the GoT clips in the new trailer). But rest assured it’s the two at Winterfell, where they’ll reunite before turning their sights north toward the Army of the Dead.

Also spotted in the new HBO teaser: a first look at Meryl Streep as Mary Louise Wright in season two of Big Little Lies. (Seems she survived the ice cream toss, Reese.)

And we got a preview of Mahershala Ali as police detective Wayne Hays (in different stages of life...hellooooo, flashbacks) in the third season of True Detective, which premieres in January 2019.

Plus, a fresh look at Veep season sevenBarry season two, some new show with Peter Dinklage called My Dinner with Hervé (we’ll watch anything with Tyrion, let’s be honest), The Deuce season two, Jennifer Garner’s new comedy Camping and more.

HB-Oh my God! 2019 is going to be the best year of TV, ever.
