Every year, Blizzard put on their own convention and event: BlizzCon. It's the time of the year when Blizzard announce a huge amount of what to expect over the next 12 months. It's when they'll announce any new games, expansions, and typically a huge amount of extra content for their existing games. It's held in California, but for those who can't go along, they offer a virtual ticket, granting access to extra streams, the in-game items, and on-demand replays.

This year is no different, so here's what you can expect if you buy the BlizzCon virtual ticket.

In-game content

Overwatch

If you buy a BlizzCon virtual ticket and own Overwatch, you can unlock a special BlizzCon 2017 Winston skin right now. It's bright blue, in the Blizzard shade, and has the same model as his Desert and Horizon skills. It's counted as an Epic-tier skin.

Hearthstone

The Heartstone in-game content hasn't been announced yet! Most people are expecting a new Hearthstone expansion to be announced at BlizzCon 2017, so there's a chance it may tie in to that. Last year, a special card back was offered for those who had a BlizzCon virtual ticket, so that's a pretty likely answer for what you can expect.

Heroes of the Storm

The Nexus Razorback mount, spray, and portrait are all available in Heroes of the Storm for those who purchase the virtual ticket this year, plus the Blizzcon 2017 banner. These are all available in-game right now.

Diablo III

A Murkromancer pet is coming to Diablo III soon, and will be given out to those who've got the ticket. There's no release date yet, but it's playing off the Necromancer DLC that was released earlier this year, plus the joke character of Murky that's often referenced across Blizzard games.

World of Warcraft

Two mounts are available in World of Warcraft, one for the Alliance, and one for the Horde. Alliance members can get the Stormwind Skychaser mount, while the Orgrimmar Interceptor is for those in the Horde.

StarCraft 2

Terran SCVs, Protoss Probes, and Zerg Drones all get a special junker skin for those who've purchased the Blizzcon 2017 virtual ticket. They're available to be used in-game right now.

To find out what all the streams on show are, the BlizzCon schedule has it all. Without the virtual ticket, only the opening ceremony and esports streams are available to watch. It costs £24.99, and can be bought through the Battle.net app or site.
