It's a Girl! Baby Born in Chick-fil-A Parking Lot in Dallas, Georgia

How's this for an exciting entrance into the world?

As Greensboro, North Carolina's WFMY reported, Marcie Masselink gave birth to her daughter in a Chick-fil-A parking lot in Dallas, Georgia this past Sunday, August 12th. No, she wasn't in the bathroom being assisted from a doctor or nurse who also happened to be dining in that day. No, Masselink gave birth from from inside her very own minivan, since the restaurant was closed, as per Sunday tradition.

"West Michigan native Marcie Masselink, who now lives in Georgia, was on her way to the hospital when she began having severe contractions and she knew she was in labor," wrote WFMY's David Bailey. After her husband Scott pulled the van over, he helped coach her through the delivery. "He was great considering what happened," Masselink said. "He stayed pretty calm under pressure, but it was pretty intense and emotional. I wouldn't recommend it." Despite arriving a month early, baby Oaklyn Ann is doing well, as are mama and papa.

Last month, a baby was born in the bathroom of a San Antonio Chick-fil-A. The newborn girl, Gracelyn Griffin, has since been showered in some epic gifts: She'll get free Chick-fil-A for life, guaranteed her first job at age 14, and the company is helping to plan her first birthday party (at Chick-fil-A, of course), CNN affiliate KSAT, in San Antonio, reported. No word yet if young Oaklyn will get similar offerings.
