The Creator Of 'This Is Us' Has A New Movie Coming Out And The Trailer Will Destroy You
If you put away your box of TV-watching tissues after the season two finale of This Is Us, you made a mistake. Dan Fogelman, the creator of your favorite gut-wrenching NBC drama, has taken his writing skills to the big screen for a feature-length film that will melt even the coldest of hearts. Watch the official trailer for Life Itself above, and you'll understand why you need those Kleenex.
The upcoming movie follows the lives of a young couple played by Oscar Isaac and Olivia Wilde. Amazon Studios explains that as their characters go "from college romance to marriage and the birth of their first child, the unexpected twists of their journey create reverberations that echo over continents and through lifetimes." The production company has also labeled Life Itself as a "multigenerational love story"-a description that sounds just like Fogelman's hit television series, and just as emotional.
The star-studded cast of Life Itself also includes Mandy Patinkin, Antonio Banderas, Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Cooke, and Annette Bening. At this point, it's difficult to tell exactly how each of their character's stories will relate-but the trailer promises that they "are all connected by a single event.” The suspense!
