Here's How to Wear Your Favorite Ripped Jeans in the Winter (and Not Get Frostbite)
We love ripped jeans as much as the next person, but when the temperature drops below, like, 40 degrees, we don’t love having large swaths of leg exposed to the elements. What’s a stylish gal to do? Copy this look:
Yes, that’s right. Wear your ripped jeans over tights.
Now, we know what you’re thinking, and we agree. If someone told us to wear tights under our ripped jeans without showing us, we’d have been like “What?! No way.”
But take another second or two to peep how cool it looks on the lady above and reconsider. Sure, the tights aren’t going to keep your legs as warm as hole-less pants would, but they’re better than nothing, and they add an interesting element to the bottom half of your look.
As for footwear, stay away from winter boots, which might look sloppy, and stick with something more ladylike, like low pumps or on-trend kitten heels.
Because if we’ve learned anything from Jennifer Lawrence, it’s that sometimes fashion wins out over function.
