So Apparently Kate Middleton and Prince William Haven't Met Baby Archie Yet
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child Archie Harrison earlier this week.
And while the world is clamoring for more Archie content, it seems as though Kate Middleton and Prince William haven't met their nephew yet.
Even though the buildup to the birth of Baby Sussex lasted for about eight million years, little Archie Harrison, born on Monday morning, is only five days old today. And in Archie's short life, he's managed to meet the Queen of England (nbd), get presents from Oprah, and star in a photo shoot seen 'round the world. But one thing that the little royal hasn't done yet? Meet his uncle and aunt, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to Daily Mail, Will and Kate "have not been to visit the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, baby Archie Harrison." To be fair, they were in North Wales earlier this week, visiting emergency responders and touring wildlife habitats. However, they were also in London right after the baby was born. Just sayin'!
On Tuesday, William gave an interview about how excited he and Kate were to meet the little guy, saying, "[We're] absolutely thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and looking forward to seeing him in the next few days when he's quietened down. I'm very pleased to welcome my own brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting. "
They also released a more formal statement about the arrival of Harry and Meg's baby, saying, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family."
A spokesperson for the Sussexes said that Will and Kate are "in the diary" to visit Frogmore Cottage and meet Archie, though the exact date hasn't been announced. And FYI, it's being reported that Harry's dad Prince Charles and his wife Camilla haven't met Archie yet either, so there's also that! ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ
