If Delish was a country, I would nominate spinach and artichoke dip as our national food. We've made stuffing, pretzels, burgers, and even egg rolls with the classic combination of spinach, artichoke hearts, and LOTS of cheese. The list goes on, and we're not sorry.
Our latest foray into repurposing our favorite dip has led us to this festive cheese ball/cheese dip hybrid. It sort of resembles our Spinach Artichoke Bombs, except that it's SUPER-SIZED! It's perfect for entertaining — set it out with some extra crackers and watch it disappear before your very eyes. Yep, it's that good!
The best part? It takes almost no time at all to whip up. The recipe starts with our classic spinach and artichoke dip base — heavy on the cream cheese and mozzarella so it holds it shape. When you've mixed all your ingredients together, simple form it into one giant ball--it's easier than it sounds. Place it in the center of your crescent dough and wrap it like a present. Flip it over so the edges are hidden and brush the whole thing and delicious, glorious butter. Bake until golden and serve it to your guests, who will most certainly convert to spinach and artichoke fans themselves.
