Amazon just cut the price of the leading Apple Watch by $119 to just $280 for the 41mm GPS version and just $310 for the larger 45mm GPS model. That’s a full 38% off the $399 and $429 standard prices. You also get your pick on color: Starlight, Silver, Midnight, or (PRODUCT) RED.

It’s safe to say the Apple Watch Series 8 is a full-loaded smartwatch with a lengthy list of features that are reserved for this flagship model. While it’s technically the middle smartwatch from Apple sandwiched between the entry-level SE and the ultra-rugged Ultra, the Series 8 is a “pro-for-everyone” unit, as we said in our full review.
The Apple Watch Series 8 starts with either a 41mm or a 45mm Retina display that is always on, meaning you can just glance down to see the time or a notification that has come through. It also gets plenty bright to battle a bright, sunny day and stretches to the edges, even sloping down the side.
It’s wrapped in an aluminum case that is dust-resistant and water-resistant to the IP6X rating. This means you can take as deep as 50 meters for up to an hour. The Series 8 supports fast charging via the included puck cable and lasts up to 18-hours. In our testing, that meant a full day of use with a recharge once daily if you’re using it for sleep tracking.
Like the Apple Watch SE and Ultra, the Series is powered by the S8 chip, providing a fluid, fast experience for any task. Be it checking with Apple Pay taking a call on your wrist, or using the calculator app while tracking a workout.
Additionally, the Series 8 offers health and activity features possible on an Apple Watch. That includes Activity tracking like calories and steps but scales to taking an ECG or Electrocardiogram, heart rate notifications with irregular rhythm notifications, temperature sensing, and blood oxygen levels. The Series 8 can even detect if you fall or get in a car accident with “Crash Detection.” Emergency SOS is supported here as well as on the SE and Ultra.
