Arden Fair Mall announces addition of new Japanese fashion store; expected to open September 2024
(FOX40.COM) — Multiple new fashion stores are coming to the Arden Fair Mall later this year, and officials say the additions are part of a larger redevelopment plan designed to “meet the evolving needs of the community.”
In September, Uniqlo, a Japanese fast fashion brand known for its casual clothing, is expected to open its first Sacramento store at the Arden Fair Mall. According to its website, the Sacramento location would become the 20th Uniqlo store in California.

The announcement comes a few weeks after the Arden Fair Mall announced that Swedish fashion giant H&M will be added to its selection of stores later this year.
Nathan Spradlin, the marketing director of Arden Fair, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Uniqlo and H&M to Arden Fair.” He continued, “The addition of these tenants is part of a larger redevelopment plan at Arden Fair designed around meeting the evolving needs of our community.”
According to Arden Fair, Uniqlo will occupy 11,500 sq. ft of the mall’s lower level and be placed next to the popular casual apparel brand Lululemon. H&M, which will occupy nearly 20,000 sq. ft, will replace the former Lane Bryant, New York & Co., and LOFT stores.
Arden Fair adds that along with Uniqlo and H&M, other developments will soon be completed, which include the following:
S&L Gem Co, which is set to open “midyear” in the former Orogold location
Sports Fever’s relocation to a larger space next to the Express store
Wetzel’s Pretzels relocation to a larger space next to Jamba Juice, which is expected to open later in April
Sbarro’s remodel, which is expected to be completed by July
