Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Dazzle in New Images From WICKED
Since the teaser trailer dropped during the Super Bowl, fans have been eager to hear more about Jon M. Chu's movie adaptation of the musical WICKED.
Led by Cynthia Erivo, WICKED serves as an origin story for the infamous Wicked Witch of the West from L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz.
Erivo plays Elphaba, joined by Ariana Grande as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Ethan Slater as Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum as The Wizard.
Vanity Fair has dropped exclusive first-look images that show each of the stars in character.

There is one glaring omission from the images, however, and it is fan-favorite Dr Dillamond.
William Youmans originated the role on Broadway, but who will be playing him in the film has been kept firmly under wraps.
Vanity Fair's first look also features an interview with the cast and crew behind the film.
They uncover intimate details from behind the scenes, like how after Cynthia Erivo auditioned for the role, producer Marc Platt and director Jon M. Chu "looked at each other and [were] like, 'We're done.'"
Another great tidbit was that the film features live vocals. "When we were shooting it, those girls were like, 'F**k the pre-records. We're going live'," Chu said.
WICKED will be delivered in two parts, with part one set to hit theaters on November 24 this year and part two arriving November 26, 2025.
