Ariana Grande may have two Grammy Awards and 35 Guinness World Records to her name, but she's the ultimate fangirl when it comes to Michelle Yeoh.

During her red carpet interview at the 2024 Oscars, Grande's face lit up when she spotted the Crazy Rich Asians actress. With an excited squeal, the singer immediately paused her interview with Vanessa Hudgens and rushed to embrace Yeoh, who approached them with a big smile.

"It's Madame Morrible!" Grande said, referring to Yeoh's role in the upcoming musical, Wicked. "She is unbelievable in these movies, you have no idea."

The "Dangerous Woman" singer then proceeded to gush over Yeoh's dazzling metallic gown. She continued, "I'm so happy to see you, you look stunning! I missed you!"

In response, Yeoh gestured to Grande's pink gown and said, "A total princess, my princess."

The famous duo became fast friends while collaborating on Wicked, which is set to release part one in November 2024. According to Yeoh, it was actually Grande and Cynthia Erivo who persuaded her to join the cast.

Per People, Yeoh was hesitant to star in Wicked because her role involved singing, but she had a change of heart after he enlisted the help of both Grande and Erivo. Yeoh said, "I get this video [call from Chu], and it's like, 'Hi, Michelle, I just have two people here who really want to talk to you and tell you why you should be here.' And it was Ariana and Cynthia. [They were like] 'It's imperative, it's imperative that you come and join us.' Imperative was the royal word."

Fortunately, it turned out to be a fun experience for Yeoh, who added, "Cynthia and Ariana are like angels. When you walk on [set] and hear them sing, it's like you've gone to heaven."

Love to see two talented queens supporting each other.
