Ariana Grande Opened Up About Her “Tough Month” in a Series of Emotional Tweets

Ariana Grande has had a rocky personal time of late, and in a series of emotional tweets, the singer opened up about the difficulties she’s faced as fans reached out with concern and support.

“Can I pls have one okay day,” the singer tweeted on Thursday evening. “Just one. Pls.” She continued, “I’m so tired pls.”

The singer then then quote-tweeted an optimistic message she had sent a few days ago that read “Everything will be okay,” and added “j f**king k.”

No specific reason for the cryptic tweets was addressed. The emotional plea comes just weeks after the death of Grande’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, after which she paid a heartbreaking tribute to the rapper. Shortly after, the pop star’s rep announced that, “Given the events of the past couple of years,” Grande would be taking “some much needed time to heal and mend.” The announcement came in light of the singer and fiancé Pete Davidson’s decision to not attend to the 2018 Emmy Awards.

Grande has faced additional public difficulties for a tiring stretch of time: Earlier in September, she performed at Aretha Franklin’s funeral, and as she joined Bishop Charles H. Ellis III at the podium, he placed his arm around the singer and appeared to touch the side of her chest. Just months prior, the singer marked the emotional one-year anniversary of the devastating terrorist attack at her Manchester concert that left 22 people dead and hundreds more injured.

In the midst of the tweets, Grande’s fans sent an outpouring of concern and support for the singer. She thanked them for loving her so much, even though she felt she did “not deserve it.”
