Ariana Grande Opens Up for the First Time About Cosmetic Work She's Gotten
Ariana Grande admitted to having cosmetic procedures in a new video.
While sharing her skincare routine and guide to perfectly drawing her signature '60s cat eye for Vogue, the R.E.M. Beauty founder opened up about the work she's had done.
"I feel like my relationship to beauty has changed so much over the years, especially because I started so young," she explained. "You know, being exposed to so many voices at a young age and especially when people have, like, things to say about your appearance and stuff at a young age. It's just really hard to know what's worth hearing and not but when you're 17, you don't really know that yet."
She shared that she had mechanisms for hiding her insecurities, such as putting on thick eyeliner and wearing hair extensions. The singer then confessed, "Full transparency as a beauty person, as I do my lips, [I] had a ton of lip filler over the years and botox."
Grande said that she stopped having the procedures in 2018 at 25 years old because it felt like "too much." She appeared to get teary and excused herself, saying, "Didn't expect to get emotional."
She expressed that she missed her laugh lines and smile lines, noting, "I hope my smile lines get deeper and deeper and I laugh more and more. And I just think aging is such a…it can be such a beautiful thing."
However, she hasn't ruled out getting more cosmetic work done in the future.
"Now, might I get a facelift in 10 years? Might, yeah," she said.
